This photo stood on my grandparents sideboard throughout my childhood and beyond. My mum is the bride and her father is escorting her into church. September 2nd 1950 at the parish church in Royston, South Yorkshire. The picture turned up again in the box of photos I mentioned the other day. While I was admiring the frame and reminiscing about it’s significance, I realised that the reverse of the photo seemed to be wedged with papers. So I very carefully prised open the clips to find a piece of brown wrapping paper and these three photos hidden behind the wedding photo. What a find! But no indication as to who any of these people are. I’ve compared them with other likely photos but so far can’t see any matches. Probably another family history brick wall unless I can get copies to a very elderly aunt who may know (and more significantly, remember) who they are. Thanks for reading my blog today. Don't forget to check out Book of the Day before you go.
